Meet the team.

Lane C. Hilton is an attorney at the boutique business law firm, Robberson Schroedter LLP.  Ms. Hilton has a diverse background in complex civil litigation and experience handling significant exposure matters.

Ms. Hilton’s litigation practice comprises of commercial business litigation and complex business disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, negligence, trade secret misappropriation, and other business torts.  Ms. Hilton also represents creditors in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy proceedings. 

In her litigation practice, Ms. Hilton analyzes and develops complex litigation strategies, conducts extensive fact investigations, drafts and argues dispositive motions, takes depositions, analyzes cases of first impression, interprets newly passed laws and regulations, and assists clients in all stages of litigation from case inception through settlement and trial.

Ms. Hilton began her legal career defending multifaceted civil cases, where she represented some of the largest developers and general contractors in San Diego and on the West Coast, as well as large hospitals and healthcare providers throughout Southern California.  Ms. Hilton also has significant experience handling other tort actions including transportation, personal injury, and premises liability.

While in law school, Ms. Hilton worked in the San Diego County Public Defender’s Office, where she second-chaired a misdemeanor trial, assisted with a first-degree murder trial, and regularly represented indigent clients in all aspects of their cases. Additionally, she earned an Academic Achievement Award in Advanced Negotiation (the highest grade in the class), was on the Dean’s List, received both Distinguished Advocate and Distinguished Student Awards, competed on the Mock Trial Team, was part of the Pro Bono Honors Society, and served as president of Phi Alpha Delta Law Society and the Student Bar Association.  She is actively involved in the legal community and is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, the American Inns of Court, Louis M. Welsh chapter, and Lawyers Club.
