Meet the team.

Maggie E. Schroedter is co-founder of the boutique business law firm, Robberson Schroedter LLP.  Ms. Schroedter represents clients in complex commercial litigation and business bankruptcy, with an emphasis on creditor’s rights.  Her commercial litigation practice includes representation of clients in business disputes, including breach of contract, trade secret misappropriation and other business torts. She represents businesses clients in a variety of industries, including in the wind and renewable energy sector.

Ms. Schroedter also represents creditors, financial institutions, and lenders in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy proceedings, and business debtors with pre-insolvency planning, Chapter 11 and out-of-court restructurings. She has substantial experience prosecuting and defending nondischargeability claims, objections to discharge, preference and voidable transfer actions, and automatic stay relief. Ms. Schroedter also handles complex bankruptcy appeals before the Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Representative matters include a multi-million dollar renewable energy projects case; representation of receivers, including receivers appointed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, in ponzi schemes, corporate restructurings, and other cases; and the successful defense of a multi-million dollar nondischargeability claim brought by the United States Department of Justice.

Prior to founding Robberson Schroedter LLP, Ms. Schroedter was a partner at Higgs Fletcher & Mack, LLP, where she practiced for 11 years. Ms. Schroedter has been selected as a Thomson Reuters “Super Lawyer” and by Best Lawyers in 2022 and 2023.

Ms. Schroedter is Past President of Lawyers Club of San Diego, the largest speciality bar association in San Diego with a mission to advance the status of women in the law and in society.
